Photo, slide and negative scanning in Minneapolis

35mm negatives are counted by individual frame, not by strip: four strips with six frames each equal 24 frames. For slides in carousels, count the slides present rather than empty tray slots. Keep sleeves, trays and family labels together. Approximate counts are fine for your estimate; we verify the count when your media arrives.

We scan printed photographs, mounted 35mm slides and 35mm negatives. Prints larger than 8 by 10 inches use the oversized photo option. Contact us about medium-format negatives, unusual mounts, albums or other nonstandard materials so we can confirm the right service and price.

Printed photos have Standard (600 dpi), Archival (1200 dpi) and Premium (2400 dpi + TIFF) options. Standard 35mm slides and negatives have View & Share (1800 dpi) and Preserve & Enlarge (3600 dpi) options. See the photo, slide and negative service pages for current prices and options.

Absolutely! We handle all image formats. Just separate them by type and label them if possible. Each item will be scanned and delivered digitally in its own organized folder.

All images are scanned in full with careful cropping and rotation. We lightly adjust brightness and contrast for clarity. If you’d like advanced editing or restoration, we offer that as an add-on service.

You’ll receive a secure download link via email. If you prefer, we can also provide your files on a USB drive if you prefer.

We can often carefully separate and scan photos with mild damage. For stuck or fragile items, we’ll contact you before proceeding. We also offer professional photo restoration services if needed.

Group them by format and place in plastic bags or envelopes. Label if you want them scanned in a specific order. For best protection, use our optional prepaid shipping kit, or pack securely in your own box.

Yes! Just label stacks or envelopes clearly (e.g., "Scan First," "Family Trip 1995") and we’ll preserve that order when organizing your digital folders.
