What types of film reels do you convert?

We transfer Regular 8mm, Super 8, and 16mm film reels. Both silent and sound formats are accepted.

Can you tell what type of film I have?

Yes! If you’re unsure whether your reels are 8mm, Super 8, or 16mm, send us a photo—we’ll identify them for you.

What digital format will I receive?

Your film will be converted into high-resolution MP4 video files, perfect for viewing, editing, and sharing.

Do you clean the film before converting?

Yes. We carefully clean, inspect, and prep your film before the transfer to ensure the best quality possible.

Will the film be color corrected or enhanced?

We include basic exposure and color adjustments as needed. Full restoration or advanced editing is available as an extra service.

Is there audio on my film reels?

Most 8mm and Super 8 reels are silent. However, if your film has a magnetic sound stripe, we can digitize the audio too.

How are files delivered?

You’ll receive a secure Dropbox link to your digital files. Optional delivery on USB is available as an add-on.

How long does it take?

Film orders typically take 3–4 weeks depending on volume. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process.

What if my reels are damaged or moldy?

For an additional $15 charge we can handle minor damage or mold, and we’ll contact you before proceeding with any severely affected reels.

Do I get my original reels back?

Yes, your original film is safely returned along with your completed digital files.

How do I get started?

Order a custom box kit or purchase by reel through our Film Transfer Service. You can ship your reels or drop them off locally.
