What types of video tapes do you convert?

We convert VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8, Digital8, Betacam, DVCPro, and U-matic. If you’re unsure about your format, just send us a photo or ask—we’re happy to help identify it!

What format will I receive my digital files in?

We deliver your videos as MP4 files, which are universally compatible with most devices and easy to share. You’ll get access via Dropbox, and you can also request a USB copy.

Is the original media returned to me?

Yes! All of your tapes are safely returned after we digitize them. We treat your memories with care every step of the way.

Can you fix broken tapes?

Absolutely. We offer $15 tape repairs (like broken casing or snapped film). If your tape needs extensive restoration, we’ll let you know before proceeding.

How long does the transfer process take?

Most orders are completed within 2–3 weeks after we receive your media. Larger or more complex orders may take a bit longer.

Is the video quality improved during the transfer?

We digitize in high quality and do light correction to optimize playback, but we don’t offer full restoration (like frame-by-frame remastering). What you see is a faithful transfer of the original.

Are my tapes safe in the mail?

Yes, these media formats especially with casing are very durable and safe to ship.

What if I only have a few tapes?

No problem! You can order a la carte with no minimums. Choose the "Video Transfer" collection and select only what you need.

Can I preview my files online before receiving them?

Yes! Your Dropbox folder will include your digitized files, and you’ll receive a notification via email once they’re ready to view.
