8mm & Super 8 Film Transfer Service - Film Reels to Digital MP4

8mm & Super 8 Film Transfer Service - Film Reels to Digital MP4

Those little home-movie reels hold some of your oldest footage—and they don't play back the way they used to. We clean and scan 8mm and Super 8 film frame by frame (not by pointing a camera at a screen), so you get a sharp, steady digital copy of every frame.

$0.55 per foot, with a $27.50 minimum (one 3" reel). Not sure how much film you have? Pick your reel size at checkout—we include a sizing guide and are happy to help.

Approximate pricing by reel size:

  • 3" reel (~50 ft) – $27.50
  • 4" reel (~100 ft) – $55.00
  • 5" reel (~200 ft) – $110.00
  • 6" reel (~300 ft) – $165.00
  • 7" reel (~400 ft) – $220.00

What you get: An MP4 (H.264) digital file for each reel—ready to play on any phone, computer, or TV and easy to share. Silent film is transferred as-is (most home movies have no soundtrack). Delivery is by secure digital download at no extra charge; add a USB drive or DVD at checkout for a physical copy.

How it works:

  1. Choose your reel size, check out, then mail your film to the address we email you or drop it at a local location.
  2. We clean, scan, and quality-check each reel frame by frame.
  3. Download your video and get your original film back by mail.
